How to Replace an Audi G28 Engine Speed Sensor

1. Engine Speed Sensor
It is located on the outside of the transmission just above the flywheel ring gear G28 Engine Speed Sensor sends a signal to ECU pin T55/49 through a grey wire. The ECU uses this information to regulate boost and fuel. It also sends an indicator to the G5 Tachometer located in the instrument cluster.
The sensor is used to connect the G40 Camshaft position Sensor. The ecu must be aware when the crankshaft is TDC and the location of the camshaft so it can activate spark and injectors in the right way.
If this sensor fails when it fails, the ECU will display a P00160 error message. This means that the Crank Shaft is out of alignment with the Intake Camshaft. It could also indicate a chain stretch or a jump in the chain link of the upper chain. The code won't appear without the additional information supplied by other sensors (G4 or G40).
It can be a bit difficult to test because there are different connector pins, and each one has different functions. The best way to do it is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. When the sensor is fully operational, it should be reading approximately 1000 ohms. If you're experiencing issues with this component, look for evidence of oil or coolant in the connector bay.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, while accelerating at full speed from the highway paytoll i had massive power loss like the engine is out of gas or the injectors aren't firing anymore. Today, i pulled out the spark plugs. Three were soaked with gazoline and the fourth was dry. I put a piece of tissue over each injector hole and when i turn the engine on without sparks, the three with gazoline jump right out. The fourth one remains closed. I inspected the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55/30/55/48/55/14/55/48/ I get 0ohm. So i assume the problem is in another place.
I also tried to reset the PID without success. The car will start when the G28 is disconnected, but it is running fine with the G28 connected. However the intermittent misfire issue continues to occur at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for coolant (G62) shows the wrong temp value that is -49c even after unplugging it. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar while the actual pressure is 0.
I'm not sure what to do, but i feel i have pretty much completely ruled out all other possibilities. I'm worried that i might have missed something. Let me know should you have any suggestions! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump in the g28 receives signals from the RPM sensor. The GM-style sensor is the same as the G4 and both are used in the 80 100, 200, UrS and RS2 cars which is why you can easily locate one at a wrecking yard or at a parts store.
