How to Replace an Audi G28 Engine Speed Sensor

2. Injectors
Yesterday, when i was accelerating to the fullest speed from highway paytoll, I experienced an abrupt drop in power like the engine is running out of gas or injectors aren't firing at all. I pulled out the spark plugs this morning and found that 3 were drenched in gasoline and the 4th was dry. I put a piece of tissue over each hole in the injector and when i start the engine with no sparks, the 3 with gazoline jump out. The 4th one remains closed. I checked the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55/30/55/48/55/14/55/48/ I got zero Ohm. I'm assuming the issue is in another place.
I also tried to reset the PID with no success. The car is able to start when the G28 is unplugged and runs fine when it is plugged in, but still has intermittent misfire issues at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for coolant (G62) shows the wrong temp value -49c, even if I unplug it. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bars but the actual pressure is zero.
I'm not sure what to do, i believe that i've ruled out everything else. But i am afraid I might have missed something. If anyone has any suggestions, please chime in! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump of the g28 receives signals from the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter is similar to the G4 sender and both work on the 80,100,200, UrS, and RS2 vehicles. You can easily find a spare in a wrecking shop or a parts store. Test them out by putting your DMM in resistance mode and take measurements between pins 1 (with the bump on the connector's side up) and 2 (2nd from the left on the black end of the connector). They should be infinite Ohms.

Our 20vt turbo (3B AAN, ABY, and ADU) engines are equipped with an ECU that must know the position and speed of the crankshaft to make decisions regarding fuel injector timing etc. To do this, it uses a Crank Position Sensor (G4) and an Engine Speed Sensor (G28). If either of these sensors go badly, you will see codes on the diagnostic scanner which can cause the engine to shut down.
Some of the signs of a failing G28 sensor include an inaccurate rev counter in the gearbox, gears shifting quicker than normal, and/or a misfire when in gear. It is possible that your sensor is failing and needs to be replaced if you notice any of these symptoms. They're cheap and easy to find especially in the case of an Bosch model like ours.
